Kim K releases video proving Taylor Swift lied about Kanye, Internet reacts
Kim Kardashian is calling out Taylor Swift in the ongoing saga of the beef between the pop singer and Kanye West.
Kardashian posted video of a phone call between West and Swift in which Swift seems to give approval for her name to be used in his recent song, “Famous.”
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” he rapped in the phone call, in which he asked permission from Swift to use her name in the song.
Swift then seems to laugh it off as “a compliment — kind of.”
“It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice. It’s a really cool thing to do and a really good show of friendship,” she said in the call.
However, in the video, the second part of the lyric, in which West claims “I made that b—- famous,” was nowhere to be heard in the video, and Swift has since spoken out against the video released by Kardashian, saying that she wasn’t told about the second half of the lyrics and that the phone call was not her way of approving a song in which she was referred to as “that b—-.”
“Of course I wanted to like the song,” Swift said. “I wanted to believe Kanye when he told me that I would love the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me, but he never did.
“While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard. Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”
