Derrick Rose rape accuser: ‘He has to deal with what he did to me’

The "Jane Doe" accusing Derrick Rose of gang rape says that the man she knew in private moments is not the same man she saw when he was with his friends.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

The “Jane Doe” accusing Derrick Rose of gang rape, and suing him for $21.5 million, says that the man she knew in private moments is not the same man she saw when he was with his friends. What’s more, she says that Rose “has to deal with” what he did.

“I think he must be in a bad place with everything that happened to me. I just feel like knowing that he was able to do what he did, he has to deal with that,” the woman told the New York Daily News. “He has to deal with that. He has to deal with what he did to me with his friends. I think that alone is a huge deal for him whether he’s showing it or not.”

She went on to say that Rose becomes a different person around his friends.

“The person I met is different from what happened, than what transpired after we stopped talking,” she said. “I just think he’s in a bad place and I know that he’s confused and his environment has really influenced his actions and his understanding of what’s right and wrong.

“It’s almost like there are two different identities. When I was with him by himself and there was the lockout (of the NBA in 2011) and he was off of work and he was living in L.A., when I would see him, and we were by ourselves, he was a completely different person than when he started working and traveling and having his friends with him.”

Rose will be facing a civil trial on Oct. 4, the same day that he will turn 28.
