Malia and Sasha will be bridesmaids at former secret service agent’s wedding
Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, Kristen Jarvis, fell in love with one of President Barack Obama’s former secret service agents, Shaun West, while they were both working at the White House.
Now, as they are setting up their happily ever after, the couple has asked Sasha and Malia Obama to be bridesmaids at the event, which will take place in November at the Bellevue Conference Center. The First Lady herself is also expected to come to the celebration to be there for her former chief of staff.
Because Jarvis had worked with the First Family for years, she said she had developed a “big sister/little sister” relationship with Sasha in particular.

“If you know me, you know my love for this chica right here,” she said of Sasha when announcing her bridesmaid pick on her wedding website. “I’ve known Sasha since she was three years old, and I couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she has become. She has had to endure more than most will in a lifetime, and she has handled life thus far with such grace and humility.”
“Sasha and I have had a big sister/little sister relationship since the very beginning and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for this girl—and I know she would do the same for me,” she wrote. “We’ve been thru so many ‘firsts’ together over the years, that I couldn’t imagine this ‘first’ for me without her. Love you lady and so glad to have you up there with me on my special day!!!!”
