Back in 1998 Trump called Bill Clinton’s accusers ‘unattractive’

In an interview with Fox News in an Aug. 19, 1998, interview, Donald Trump called Bill Clinton's accusers "terrible" and called Clinton a "victim."

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Just before Sunday’s presidential debate, Donald Trump appeared with a group of women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault.

It was an attempt to distract from his own lewd comments about women by trying to deflect onto Bill Clinton’s record, but as important as it is to give the victims of assault a voice, it’s safe to say it’s more than a bit disingenuous coming from Trump, especially when he was one of the people decrying them at the time they came forward.

“It’s like it’s from hell, it’s a terrible group of people,” Trump told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto in an Aug. 19, 1998, interview.

Cavuto then asked about Clinton’s status as a “quasi-sex symbol” because of the alleged affairs.

“I don’t necessarily agree with his victims, his victims are terrible,” Trump replied. “He is really a victim himself. But he put himself in that position.”

He then went on to criticize the victims’ physical features, saying, “The whole group, Paula Jones, Lewinsky, it’s just a really unattractive group. I’m not just talking about physical.”

Cavuto then asked, “Would it be any different if it were a supermodel crowd?”

“I think at least it would be more pleasant to watch,” Trump replied.
