Trump’s proposed Muslim registry likened to internment camps

Carl Higbie, the head of Trump-supporting PAC Great America cited Japanese internment camps as a precedent for Donald Trump's proposed Muslim registry.

On Wednesday, Carl Higbie, the head of Trump-supporting PAC Great America, appeared on Fox News to talk about the Muslim registry that president-elect Donald Trump suggested when he was still a candidate, citing Japanese internment camps as a precedent for such a move.

While Higbie was clear to say that the registry, which is part of the proposed “extreme vetting” of people, especially Muslims, coming into the United States, would not be exactly like internment, he did cite it as a precedent to look to.

“You can’t be citing Japanese internment camps as precedent for anything the President-elect is gonna do,” Megyn Kelly says incredulously in the segment.
