LeBron James and others on the Cavaliers team protested Donald Trump by refusing to stay at a Trump-brand hotel with the rest of the team on Wednesday just before playing the Knicks, according to ESPN.com.

The rest of the team stayed out the hotel that they had contractually agreed to stay at when it opened in 2010.

James and others on the team have expressed their shock and disappointment with the 2016 election results, with forward Richard Jefferson saying the Cavaliers would be the “last team to visit the White House” and guard Iman Shumpert saying he would not join the presidential celebration while Trump is president.

James and J.R. Smith also posted to Instagram on Election Night expressing fear and trying to post uplifting messages in the face of that worry.

“How do you explain to this face what happen?” Smith wrote alongside a picture of his daughter. “You can be a educated women in your field an not get the job because your a women or cause your black? How do you say ‘go try your best’ even though it won’t be good enough. How do I even feel confident sending her on play dates knowing the kids family voted for the racist, sexist person an I don’t know how they will treat her when she’s gone.”
