A homeless man threw hot coffee on a Muslim woman, hit her and called her a “terrorist.”
Nathan Gray, 34, told the victim, 21, that he “hated Muslims” and was going to kill her. He has been charged with assault as a hate crime.
As he was ordering a cup of coffee, according to one employee, he said something about Muslims.

“I gave him coffee and he said something to me about terrorists, but I couldn’t hear what he was saying. He walked away from me and sat next to a group of Muslim women,” the employee stated. “He started talking to them and I could hear him saying, ‘Terrorists!’”
The womae just sat and ate their meal ignoring the insults. But he kept shouting.
“One woman called him ‘stupid.’ So he threw his hot coffee in her face,” according to the employee. “It was hot, hot coffee. She could have been burned! Then he swung his bag at her and it hit her in the face.”
The woman ran out of the restaurant, and Gray followed and put her in a headlock.
Someone called 911, and the police arrived to arrest the suspect. The victim refused medical attention and was not seriously injured.
