When a University of Wisconsin-Stout student got pulled over for speeding, he was sure he was going to get a ticket. Instead, he got help with his tie.

The student was pulled over a few weeks ago. He was late for a presentation and was searching for a friend who would be able to help him with his tie.

The Menomonie Police Department dashcam footage shows the officer helping the student after he was told the tie was necessary for the presentation.

The video has racked up nearly 500,000 views since it was posted Tuesday.

Then, as the boy reached for his registration, the officer asked for the tie and tied it for the student. When he handed it back, he noted it was too short and then retied it properly.

The young man was let go with a warning.
