‘Louisiana’s most racist high school’ sending marching band to inauguration
West Monroe High School has been described by a local Louisiana media outlet as “Louisiana’s most racist high school,” and it will be the only school from Louisiana to participate in the inauguration on January 20.
In particular, the school, which has the “Rebels” as a mascot, is known for flying the Confederate flags at sporting events. Although the use of the flag has been restricted because of public outcry, it is still allowed in the stadium.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was the one to nominate the school’s band to perform at the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.
