California Trump rally turns violent

A Make America Great Again rally turned violent in Huntington Beach, California, this Saturday when a protester sprayed a Trump supporter with pepper spray before being attacked by Trump supporters.

The masked man was tackled to the ground by flag-waving Trump supporters, who then proceeded to punch and kick him, according to witnesses.

He was chased before jumping over a fence and running alongside the Pacific Coast Highway, where he was picked up by police.

There were other counter-protesters, but they fled the scene before the police arrived.

The noon rally had hundreds of Trump supporters who marched at Bolsa Chica State Beach in order to support veterans, police and first responders.

The rally and march were set to happen from noon to 3 pm, and this was one of approximately 40 related events scheduled for across the nation.

While the march bears Trump’s campaign slogan, some of the organizers are making their support clear. Jennifer Sterling, from Laguna Beach, for example, said that the rally might bear Trump’s slogan, but the focus is not on him. Instead, they were wearing blue ribbons to support law enforcement, and donations would be donated to veterans.

“We want to wave our American flag and be patriotic,” Sterling said.
