Cuba Gooding Sr. was found dead in a parked vehicle in California on Thursday, reports TMZ and ABC's Los Angeles affiliate.

According to TMZ and ABC’s Los Angeles affiliate, Gooding Sr. was found dead in a parked vehicle in California Thursday afternoon.
Gooding was reportedly slumped over in his silver Jaguar, which was parked on Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. The fire department responded to the scene approximately 1 p.m. and attempted CPR but could not resuscitate him.
Police reportedly found empty booze containers in the car, and investigators suspect an overdose.
Gooding Sr., who is the father of Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr., was the lead singer of the ’70s soul group The Main Ingredient. He also enjoyed a solo career on Motown Records.
