The infamous hacking group Anonymous has put forward a YouTube video urging the world to “prepare,” because World War III is on the way, with conflict in Korea looming over our shoulders.
“All the signs of a looming war on the Korean peninsula are surfacing,” the hacking group says in the video, which is six minutes long.
“Watching as each country moves strategic pieces into place,” the group says, citing recent military movements in the region as well as warnings from both Japan and South Korea that North Korea is staging for a nuclear attack. “But unlike past world wars, although there will be ground troops, the battle is likely to be fierce, brutal and quick. It will be also be globally devastating, both on environmental and economical levels.”
Anonymous also pointed to the evidence that President Trump last week tested the Minuteman 3 intercontinental ballistic missile as well as China’s call for its citizens in North Korea to return home as further proof.
“This is a real war with real global consequences,” the group says. “With three superpowers drawn into the mix, other nations will be coerced into choosing sides, so what do the chess pieces look like so far?”
The conclusion of the video is an eerie warning to global viewers: “Prepare for what comes next. We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget.”
