Steve Harvey skips staff party after memo demanding privacy

Harvey reportedly didn't go to a wrap party, amid backlash over a memo he wrote to staff instructing them not to approach him was leaked.

On Thursday, production wrapped on “The Steve Harvey Show” before Steve Harvey moves to LA for a new show, with a new team.

But Harvey reportedly didn’t go to the wrap party, amid the backlash that has been generated since a memo that he wrote to staff instructing them not to approach him was leaked.

The memo read: “There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in . . . Do not open my dressing room door. If you open my door, expect to be removed . . . Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly . . . I want all the ambushing to stop now.”

In the memo, Harvey also said, “I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.”

After the memo circulated online, Harvey refused to apologize, claiming that his dressing room was a “prison” and that he needed “privacy.”

According to a PageSix source, “Steve is not going to his own wrap party Thursday night . . . After that memo, he’d be stood on his own in the corner. He used to be such a nice guy.”
