Teacher charged with sexual battery of 15-year-old former student
A Florida middle school teacher was charged with sexual battery and lewd behavior after she was found on Friday in the backseat with a former student.
On Friday, Pamela Stigger, who is 33, appeared in bond court after being taken into custody Thursday when police found her with a 15-year-old former student in the backseat. The young man was naked from the waist down.
“This woman was discovered parked in an area of Tamarac at two o’clock in the morning with this teenage boy in the back seat of her car,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Gina Carter.
The car had been parked on the roadway, not off to the side, so that it was blocking traffic.

“When she was questioned about what they were doing and if they had, in fact, engaged in sexual acts, she denied being engaged in these sexual acts,” said Carter. “Despite the fact that the young man was undressed.”
Stigger initially claimed that the student was the one trying to seduce her before her story changed to say that she was simply mentoring a former student.
“She did say that she was in the process of mentoring this past student of hers, even though it was two o’clock in the morning, and they were in the back seat of a car,” said Carter.
Since Stigger was taken into custody, Broward Schools has released a statement saying that Stigger has been “administratively reassigned away from the school, and will not be permitted access to students.”
