Despite all the talk of separation, Carmelo and La La Anthony reportedly spent Mother’s Day together along with their son, Kiyan, and that fact has many people suggesting that a reconciliation could be on the horizon.

However, according the PageSix, there’s no reason to hope that the two are getting back together, with one source saying, “They had dinner with their son. That’s all it was. It was Mother’s Day. He wanted to take his mommy out. He’s 10. Daddy went along. They both took her out,” and another adding, “They are not back together.”

A friend of the couple also reportedly told PageSix that, despite reports to the contrary, the two are “not living together.”

“She’s about protecting Kiyan and making him feel like his life isn’t shaken up and that both parents are still there. They’re only together when it comes to their son. People can read what they want into it. The whole situation is so new. She isn’t running to the lawyers yet. It’s still one day at a time, and she’s been too distracted with work,” the insider said.

“He doesn’t want to uproot his son’s life,” a source close to Carmelo agreed, adding that Carmelo was trying to decide if he would stay on with the Knicks or go elsewhere looking for a better opportunity.
