On Thursday, Aisha Tyler got emotional as she announced that she would be leaving CBS’ The Talk.

“I have had an amazing six years with you guys,” Tyler told her co-hosts, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. “We’ve had babies and weddings, and you know good things have happened, and you know I went through the biggest breakup of my life with you. I could not have done with this without you. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough for your friendship.”

She insisted that even though she was leaving, there were no hard feelings, and she still wanted to come back as a guest.

The reason Tyler had to leave was simply that her schedule had become overly full, with “Criminal Minds” and “Archer” on her TV schedule, not to mention her hosting duties with “Whose Line Is It Anyway” and her recent foray into directing with her first film. She plans to do more directing as well, so that’s quite a lot on one plate.

“I’m very lucky to be this busy,” she said. “Coming here is such a joy that it never feels like work to me.”
