Judge grants Karrueche five-year restraining order against Chris Brown

Karrueche Tran testified personally in court that she was in fear for her life because of threats that her ex, Chris Brown, had made against her. After hearing her testimony, the judge granted her a five-year restraining order against Brown.

Tran testified that he had become angry after they broke up when she didn’t want to return diamond rings he had bought her as gifts, telling her, “I’m not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more, don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events.”

Some of the more violent threats included statements like “I can get my money back and I’m tired of playing games”; “B**ch I will beat the s**t out of you”; and “I promise you I will make your life hell.” She also claimed that he had written “Imma kill blood” underneath a picture of her and Michael B. Jordan.

Tran claimed that Brown had beaten her before and that she was in constant fear for her safety and in need of the protection of a restraining order.

Chris Brown’s attorney, David Gammill, claimed that Tran had taunted Brown about the rings and claimed to have sold them, adding that Tran had never reported any of the alleged behavior to the authorities. However, the judge ultimately sided with Tran and granted her the restraining order.
