Derek Fisher charged with DUI in June car crash

Former New York Knicks coach is facing a DUI charge after being involved in a car accident in which his car went over a guard rail and flipped upside-down.

Former New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher is facing a DUI charge after being involved in a car accident in June in which his car went over a guard rail and flipped upside-down.

Although both Fisher and the passenger, girlfriend and reality star Gloria Govan, were unharmed, Fisher was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On Wednesday, Fisher was charged in the incident for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher.

According to the highway patrol, Fisher was driving on U.S. Route 101 when he veered onto the right shoulder and hit a guardrail, flipping over and blocking two lanes of traffic.
