Drake stars in new Virginia Black whiskey ads with his father

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Drake and his father, Aubrey Graham, are in a new Virginia Black whiskey ad together.

The two of them have been collaborating lately, despite a reportedly rocky relationship, and they get to joke around together in this ad poking fun at Dos Equis’ “most interesting man in the world” character.

“Would you like to know who’s not worried about the most interesting man in the world?” Drake asks before the camera pans over to Graham so that Graham can joke about just what makes him “interesting.”

“What’s under my du-rag?” Graham asks. “Another du-rag.”

The father-son collaboration has been making its rounds on social media, and even Diddy has shown his support for the ads in the name of #BlackExcellence, writing on Twitter, “Another man of color owning their own is big for all of us!!! It’s time to start supporting us!!!! Congrats @Drake #BlackExcellence.”

The shout-out is a reference to the fact that Drake has a stake in the company he’s acting as spokesman for.

“As is the case with Diddy and DeLeón, Drake landed an equity stake in Virginia Black after putting his own money into the venture,” reported Zack O’Malley Greenburg of Forbes.
