Kid Rock is running for a Senate seat, so he is now speaking out against the protests against him and the accusations of racism.

The country singer told his readers to “pay no attention to the garbage the extreme left is trying to create” and insisted that “I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!”

He also claimed that people were uncomfortable with his support of the Confederate flag only because he had announced his run for the Senate in July.

“They are trying to use the old confederate flag BS, etc. to stir the pot, when we all know none of this would be going on if I were not thinking of running for office,” Rock wrote. “Pretty funny how scared I have them all and their only agenda is to try and label people / me racist who do not agree or cower to them!!”

He also wrote that he was “very disappointed that none of the people, businesses, or charities” he has “diligently supported in Detroit” have not defended him against the protests against him.

In that same letter, he continued to degrade those who kneel for the national anthem, a stance that has gotten him in trouble with protesters led by the Reverend Al Sharpton.
