President Donald Trump has not even been in office for a year, but all the indications are that his staff is looking for the exits.

With the recent wave of high-profile departures as well as the looming specter of the Russia investigation, staff members are reportedly already contacting headhunters, looking to get out of the administration before it collapses in on itself.

And while staffers are already looking for exits after a few months, many believe that the trend will only intensify in the future.

“There will be an exodus from this administration in January,” said one Republican lobbyist, who alone has heard from five officials looking for new gigs. “Everyone says, ‘I just need to stay for one year.’ If you leave before a year, it looks like you are acknowledging that you made a mistake.”

According to Politico, headhunters are already hearing from staffers setting up lunches, shopping out the resumes, and otherwise indicating that they are on their way out from their positions.

“There is no joy in Trumpworld right now,” said one adviser who had been in contact with several staffers. “Working in the White House is supposed to be the peak of your career, but everyone is unhappy, and everyone is fighting everyone else.”
