Evelyn Braxton, the mother of Tamar Braxton, wants Vincent Herbert to stay away from her daughter.

In speaking with TMZ at LAX, Evelyn suggested that she was worried for Tamar’s safety, saying that Herbert had better “keep his hands off of my child” and that he needs to “stop before he hurts her or kills her.”

“I love Vince, but I don’t want him to kill my child,” she said. “It’s simple as that: stop.”

As for the reports that Herbert wants to reconcile with Tamar, Evelyn said that he’d have a long way to go to fix the behavior that caused the split in the first place.

“I think that if a person didn’t mean what they’re doing, then they’ll go and get help, they’d get counseling, right?” she said. “I think he needs to go and get counseling, I really and truly do, before someone gets killed.”

Tamar and Vincent are splitting after 9 years of marriage together. Tamar filed for divorce last week, but her now estranged husband has said that he doesn’t want to give up on their marriage and even reportedly refuses to talk about custody over their son together because he doesn’t believe it will be necessary.
