DMX staging a comeback on new BET reality show

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

DMX is heading back to the small screen in a new reality series about his life.

According to reports, In The Dog House will follow the troubled rapper who recently completed a stint in rehab for drug addiction is ready to return to music and mend things with his broken family including his 15 children and their mothers.

That should be fun…

We’ve already seen some of his demons emerge on shows like Couples Therapy and Iyanla, Fix My Life, but the upcoming project plans to show even more of the star’s true colors.

“I’m just excited to get back out there and show my fans that I’m still a force to be reckoned with in hip-hop, and invite them into my vast world of spirituality and growth,” DMX said in a statement.

The show is being produced by Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment but hasn’t secured a network just yet.

“Although DMX has been a lightning rod of controversy, he’s one of the greatest performers in all of music,” said King. “We’re thrilled to take this ride with him and look forward to helping him tell his story that we feel viewers will be intrigued by and startled to see.”

Something tells us we’ll be a bit more than “startled.”
