Fatal butt injections case gets woman life sentence

A Mississippi woman was sentenced this week to life in prison after she was convicted of administering fatal silicone buttocks injections.
Tracey Lynn Garner, 54, illegally performed the injections on Karima Gordon, 37, who immediately became sick and died days later, Reuters reports.
Garner, who is transgender, was formerly known as Morris Garner.
An investigator testified that he found silicone labeled “veterinary use only” during a search of Garner’s home.
Garner is facing similar charges in the death of Marilyn Hale, an Alabama woman who died under similar circumstances.
