‘Haircuts 4 Homeless’ barber gifted his own shop through donation
Brennon Jones has been running a one-man mobile barbershop called “Haircuts 4 Homeless,” but now, he has his very own shop, thanks to the donations of another barber.
The 29-year-old barber has been making that little bit of difference in the lives of people who often feel invisible. “It’s none of my business how they got in their situation. But I make it my business to help them get out,” Jones explained.
Even after he’s cut their hair, Jones feels that there is a personal connection to the people he’s helped.
“My very first haircut, his name is Braden. I cut his hair on 15th & Walnut [Streets]. A few days later, I went to check up on him and he wasn’t there. I was hoping nothing bad happened to him. When we did catch up weeks later, he got offered a full-time job,” he recalled.

Taper’s Barber Shop owner Sean Johnson saw what Jones was doing and was so impressed that he decided to give Jones the space he had bought near his own.
“I decided what other way to help another brother out than to donate the shop,” he said.
The fully-furnished space will now be the home of “Haircuts 4 Homeless.”
“When I first walked in here, I was blown away,” Jones said.
The new shop opened at the beginning of the month, and Jones will be dedicating Mondays to serving the homeless, partnering with shelters and stylists so that homeless individuals can get a haircut and some food.
