Jennifer Lawrence: Hurricanes may be nature’s ‘wrath’ for electing Trump

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Jennifer Lawrence feels that perhaps the destructive hurricanes pounding the US are “mother Nature’s rage and wrath” at the country for electing Donald Trump as president.

Lawrence has been making the rounds promoting her new movie Mother! And made a stop on Britain’s Channel 4 to talk about the film, Trump and even the gender pay gap.

When the interviewers stated that there was an “end-of-days feeling” across the world, Lawrence agreed saying, “it’s scary.”

“You know, it’s this new language that’s forming. I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting.”

That’s when Lawrence suggested that the hurricanes could, in fact, have been prompted by Trump being elected.

“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath,” she said.

“I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing.”

This is not the first time Lawrence has spoken about Trump. She has always been a vocal critic, saying in 2015 that a victory for him would “be the end of the world” during an Entertainment Weekly interview.
