Yesterday, the MTV Video Music Awards were held in Brooklyn and no one can stop talking about Miley Cyrus‘ jaw-dropping performance.

Performing alongside Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz, the 20-year-old singer whipped social media into a frenzy after she was seen gyrating and twerking against multiple people and objects in a skimpy, gold two-piece outfit.

Opinions have varied on the former Disney star’s performance, but most have been unflattering.

However rapper Juicy J, who’s known for his love of strippers and all things “ratchet,” saw nothing wrong.

“People need to get over it,” said the “Bandz A Make Her Dance'” emcee about Miley’s VMA performance. “I saw it as her having fun.”

While Miley Cyrus made her name in country and pop music, she’s recently been flirting with a more hip-hop sound.

Juicy J defends Miley twerk-influenced music set and believes you can’t pigeonhole her growing musical tastes.

“Miley is from the South. She’s from Tennessee. I bet the ones talking about her performance, would love to be on stage with her having a good time,” Juicy J said.
