Karrueche Tran is giving love a chance with NFL star Victor Cruz and finding her voice.

Tran told Ebony: “Yeah! We’ve been hanging out and getting to know one another. My main priority is always work, but he’s a gentleman. He’s a sweet guy and he’s really nice. We’re taking it slow, but yes!”

A source said the two are really into each other and they were and have been friends for a while and she was at his private birthday dinner in November,” one insider told Us Weekly.

Tran has really been coming into her own as an actress and philanthropist after cutting ties with ex Chris Brown after a very tumultuous relationship.

Tran filed legal documents a few years ago claiming Brown threatened to kill her and alleging he had beaten her up in the past. Last May, Brown was served with a restraining order.

Speaking out

Recently Karrueche Tran started a social media movement called #WithLove and talked about the importance of truly knowing what love in. She told Ebony:

“Coming from somebody who went through a very public situation that heavily involved social media, I think that there’s a message missing about being loved and being loving. My main message is for people to live your life through love. That doesn’t necessarily mean through a relationship. It could be your friends, your family, your workplace, even just walking down the street and smiling, saying “Hi!” Embracing positivity!”

She’s also spoke to Ebony about what it was like growing up biracial:

“I was always somewhere in the middle. In elementary school, I identified more with my Asian side. I had a lot of Korean friends and then once middle school hit, it was a little more diverse. It was still a weird place to be, because around the Asians, I was brown-skinned. Around Black girls, I wasn’t Black enough, you know?”

Karrueche Tran has been making her acting talents known through several independent films and a juicy role as a scheming stripper-turned-manicurist on the TNT drama Claws, which returns for season two this summer.
