L’Oreal responds to women suing over burned scalps
L’Oreal has responded to claims that its product caused balding, stating that the package warns consumers and clearly tells people how to use it safely.
When L’Oreal began selling SoftSheen-Carson Optimum Amla Legend No-Mix, No-Lye Relaxer, women were excited.
Then they used it.
At first, the women whose scalps got burned were just suing the company; now they are suing and demanding an urgent recall of the relaxer.
According to multiple women, the product singed and burned their scalps so badly that they lost their hair.

Accoridng to TMZ, L’Oreal has responded to the claim by stating that the package warns of this problem and clearly tells people how to use it safely.
The lawyers for the alleged victims, Ben Meiselas and Mark Geragos, say that L’Oreal just admitted the product has dangerous chemicals in it. This after they advertised that it “protects the scalp and skin.”
Geragos’ firm has said that they feel it is absurd to blame the women for the product hurting them, and they are going to fight until the product has been pulled from the shelves.
The class action suit that was filed in September is asking for more than $5 million.
