Beloved black character actress Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale, For Colored Girls) is finally getting her due. The Pan African Film Festival is honoring Devine with their Lifetime Achievement Award. Shadow and Act reports :

The Pan African Film Festival (celebrating its 20th year this year) will honor award-winning actress Loretta Devine with its highest honor, a Lifetime Achievement Award for her work on stage, television and film.

The award will be presented during the Night of Tribute (produced by the Africa Channel) at 8 pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Rave Cinemas Baldwin Hills 15 at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.
