'Magic Mike': Hot black actors who should have been cast in the hit male stripper film

theGRIO SLIDESHOW - Here are a few good looking black men who we think could have starred in 'Magic Mike'...

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Magic Mike is out in theaters now, and receiving good reviews, in addition to thrilled gasps from largely-female audiences. According to The Washington Post, “the male-stripper tale Magic Mike opened at No. 2 with $39.1 million.” Not bad. But not perfect.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film centers around male strippers, played by Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer among others. As hot as these men are, there are no black stars in the film, which seems like a major oversight when it comes to the art of stripping. Black men are known for their dance moves (and many of our hottest actors for their sexy bodies), so leaving African-Americans out of the story feels unrealistic.

In case the huge success of Magic Mike results in the green-lighting of a sequel, here are a few good looking African-American men who we think must be considered for roles due to their dynamic talents… and of course their ability to perform shirtless. What do you think? Should one of these men have made it into Magic Mike?
