NEW YORK (AP) — The family of a Connecticut woman who was shot to death by police after trying to ram her vehicle through a White House barrier will hold a funeral for her in New York City.

The service for 34-year-old Miriam Carey is planned for Tuesday morning in Brooklyn.

The dental hygienist from Stamford, Conn., is survived by her 1-year-old daughter, who was in the vehicle during the Oct. 3 car chase through the streets of Washington.

Carey had been diagnosed with postpartum depression and psychosis. Authorities say she believed President Barack Obama was monitoring her electronically.

A public viewing and wake was held Monday at Grace Funeral Chapel, where the funeral is scheduled.

In Washington, a prayer vigil was held for her Monday on Capitol Hill.
