Helio Hermito Zampier Neto is one of six survivors of the tragic Chapecoense plane crash, and while he has been hospitalized with serious injuries, no one is giving him any details about what happened.

A concerned psychiatrist for Neto has asked that the 31-year-old defender remain uninformed about the extent of the tragedy, “to avoid any emotional shock that would be potentially damaging for his clinical recovery at this moment.”

However, he has reportedly been asking about his team’s performance in the Copa Sudamericana finals and specifically about their game against the Colombian team Atletico Nacional.

The plane crash that left Neto badly injured also killed 19 of his teammates as well as 52 others, including 20 journalists. Neto was in a medically-induced coma for 9 days but is now expected to make a full recovery.
