Taxi driver claims he was attacked because he is Muslim

WASHINGTON - Lawyers for a taxi driver who says he was targeted for attack because he is Muslim want to pursue hate crime charges. News4's Richard Jordan reports...

A Northern Virginia taxi driver claims a passenger verbally and physically assaulted him because he is Muslim.

Mohammad Salim, an Army veteran who served in Iraq, says the conversation was friendly at first, until the passenger became aggressive, criticized the Muslim faith and called Salim a terrorist, which Salim recorded on his cell phone.

The man seen in the cell phone video is Ed Dahlberg, president of Emerald Aviation in Manassas.
