Kanye West makes a cameo in the upcoming comedy Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and the movie’s funnyman Will Ferrell shared what it was like to work with the rapper.

In a recent interview with ITV’s Jonathan Ross Show, Ferrell described West’s behavior on set.

“It was very surreal to have Kanye — who’s such a big fan of comedy — in our movie hanging out for two days,” he said. “He was playing the new tracks a lot — over and over. Even when you’re trying to film, he’s playing the tracks.”

West blasted songs from his latest album Yeezus, which released in May around the same time he was filming for the movie.

“We got a scared 18-year-old intern to ask him to turn them down,” Ferrell joked. “He hung out, even after we said, ‘You’re done.’ He was like, ‘no, no’ and stayed in the background, hanging out and fighting with people.”

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues releases in theaters on Dec. 18.
