Call it the game within the game — or maybe just a dance party.

Rob Maiden was on hand for Monday night’s NCAA Championship game in Arlington with his son Trey. Maiden is the captain of the Dallas Mavericks dance team – but it was his performance during the NCAA final that had everyone clapping their hands in AT&T Stadium.

A video of Maiden and his 15-year-old son dancing to Pharrell’s monster hit “Happy” is making the rounds Tuesday on social media.

As of 2:30 p.m. ET, a video uploaded to YouTube of the performance had more than 30,000 views.

Maiden told the Associated Press he and his son worked on the synchronized dance on Sunday night. Their performance – in front of the largest crowd ever at a NCAA final – was flawless.
