Samuel L. Jackson is the latest celebrity to weigh in on the mounting rape allegations surrounding Bill Cosby. He sat in on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to share his thoughts.

“I wish he would say something,” the Pulp Fiction star said. “Popular opinion would say, ”Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.’ But, I mean, I can’t make a judgment about it. I mean, I make my judgments because I have a daughter, I have a wife that I love. I have a lot of women in my life, and I know, you know, women are vulnerable to society. And people with power take advantage of people.”

Cosby has been at the center of a scandal that now includes over 30 women who have come forward with rape and sexual assault allegations. Several of the women’s stories fall outside the statute of limitations, although he could face prosecution in Canada, where there is no statute of limitations.

Despite the growing number of women coming out against him and the rising public outcry, Cosby still has not made any direct statement, though his lawyers and spokespeople have continued to deny the allegations. Cosby’s lawyer has called the accounts of these women “discredited” and “defamatory.”
