A fight broke out between a man dressed as the Easter Bunny at the Newport Centre Mall and a customer at the mall on Sunday after a 1-year-old girl slipped out of her chair.
A fight broke out between a man dressed as the Easter Bunny at the Newport Centre Mall and a customer at the mall on Sunday after a 1-year-old girl slipped out of her chair.
According to Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill, the 22-year-old man in the Easter Bunny costume said that the girl had slipped from her chair after having her picture taken. The girl’s father then began to attack him, both verbally and physically.
The Twitter video of the fight that is now making the rounds of social media shows the Easter Bunny taking off his fluffy gloves to fight a man in a brown shirt. Dozens of onlookers can be seen gathering around the fight as mall security attempts to separate them.

Charges have not yet been filed in this case because, according to Morrill, investigators are still trying to determine who instigated the attack.
