‘I Lost. The N–ger Won’: Alabama mayor denies posting racist Facebook Comment

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Outgoing Midland City, Alabama, Mayor Patsy Capshaw Skipper swears that it was not her that wrote a racist Facebook comment after she lost to a black candidate. She says she just had heart surgery and has been experiencing problems with Facebook.

She allegedly wrote, “I lost. The n–ger won,” when asked how the week’s election went.

The candidate who won, JoAnn Bennet Grimsley, will be the first African-American mayor of Midland City.

“I hope she does a great job for the city, and I am very happy for her,” Skipper told the media.

“My Facebook has been messed up for several weeks and I haven’t been using it,” she added. “I think I’ve been hacked.”

Skipper claims that she has been having trouble with her Facebook page for some time but due to her having heart surgery, it has not been her priority. The post has since been removed from Facebook.
