Bennet Omalu, the Nigerian doctor who inspired the Will Smith-starring film Concussion, says he thinks Hillary Clinton is being poisoned.
The forensic pathologist, who helped discover the brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in American football players, shared the brow-raising comment on Twitter and said the Democratic presidential nominee should undergo toxicology tests to rule the possibility out.
“I must advise (sic) the Clinton campaign to perform toxicologic analysis of Ms. Clinton’s blood. It is possible she is being poisoned,” Omalu tweeted, even incriminating Clinton’s Republican opponent Donald Trump.
“I do not trust Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump. With those two all things are possible.”
Omalu tweeted the comments hours after the Clinton campaign revealed that the former U.S. State Secretary had been diagnosed with pneumonia.
The revelation came after Clinton appeared to faint after exiting the 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City.
