Obama greeted by applause while spotted out in NYC

Former president Barack Obama was just spotted in New York City, apparently visiting with a foundation that has contributed to the Obama Presidential Library, planned to be built in Chicago.

Obama was seen exiting the headquarters of the Simons Foundation, and was met with cheers and applause from a crowd of people camped out the building. James Simons and his wife, Marilyn, have reportedly donated around $700,000 to the library.

It was obvious that the former president can still draw a huge crowd, as Secret Service was seen to be surrounding the place in multiple vehicles protecting Obama while crowds of people gathered to get a glimpse of the former commander-in-chief.
