Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Stephen Colbert was on a Russian talk show on Friday and while there he announced that he might run for president in 2020. He also stated he would like Russia to help him “in and unofficial capacity.”

“I am here to announce that I am considering a run for president in 2020, and I thought it would be better to cut out the middle man and just tell the Russians myself,” Colbert said on Evening Urgant, a late-night show airing on state-run TV.

“If anyone would like to work on my campaign, in an unofficial capacity, please just let me know,” he went on.

Colbert was in Russia taping segments for The Late Show.

Earlier, on Thursday, Colbert had tweeted Trump telling him he would “bring you back a copy” of the alleged tapes of the conversations between Comey and Trump “if they exist.”

Trump has denied that he has these tapes even though he is the one that first brought them up.
