John Legend reveals reason for son’s name and shares photo at Billboard Awards and Chrissy Teigen throws shade

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen welcomed their second child last week, and now we all get to see their adorable bundle of joy.

Teigen shared a sweet photo of her newborn on social media on Saturday evening and revealed his name is Miles Theodore Stephens.

“Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens – We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles,” she posted. “Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”

She also shared some insight on her smooth delivery on Twitter. “I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don’t rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0,” she posted. “Same nose! He is a few weeks early so he’s litttttttle and makes the teeniest noises. We are in love.”

On Sunday, John Legend revealed the reasoning behind his son’s name on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards.

“We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens; every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles is, of course, is the same name as the great Miles Davis,” he told E! News. “Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together as Miles Theodore Stephens. When he came out and we hung out with him for a little while we were like, ‘Yeah, he looks like a Miles.'”

His wife was home with their kids and threw some silly shade at her husband while watching him on the red carpet.

“Wow didn’t u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting,” she posted.

After he performed his single, “A Good Night,” the Grammy-winner shared a photo of his baby boy with the crowd.
