BREAKING NEWS: Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry expecting first child
Kensington Palace has announced their first baby is due in Spring 2019.
The royal news everyone has been waiting for has just been announced: Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child.
The news was confirmed by Kensington Palace on Monday morning.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” read the official announcement.
The Duchess is assumed to be about 12 weeks along. A spokesperson also said that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland is “looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
Their baby will be seventh in line for the throne.

A day to remember
The royal couple captivated hearts around the world when they tied the knot at Windsor Castle in May. The star-studded ceremony was watched around the world and honeymooned in Namibia.
It seems that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose an African destination because the continent is a place they hold close to the heart.
“We met once and then twice, back-to-back, two dates in London, last July,” Harry said in an interview last month with the BBC. “I think about three, maybe four weeks later, I managed to persuade her to come join me in Botswana and we camped out with each other under the stars. We spent five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic. Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure we had a chance to get to know each other.”
And just days after the royal wedding, Kensington Palace announced that Meghan Markle received her very own customized coat of arms, adding that Britain’s Queen Elizabeth approved the design to ensure that the crest was “both personal and representative.”
The couple is currently on their first official royal tour together as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex including a visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand, reports PEOPLE.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in the Autumn,” reads the announcement.
“Their Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit the Realms of Australia and New Zealand by the countries’ respective governments. The Duke and Duchess will visit the Commonwealth countries of Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.”
