Rapper Cardi B shared with W magazine in a tell-all interview that her now infamous shoe incident with hip-hop rival Nicki Minaj happened after Cardi grew tired of Minaj’s alleged shenanigans.

“For awhile now, she’s been taking a lot of shots at me,” Cardi told the magazine. “I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”

Cardi, 25, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, was referring to the incident that kicked off in September at a New York Fashion Week party after Cardi threw her platformed sandal at Minaj, 35. It was the latest dust up in the rancor between the two rappers.

Cardi told W that her patience ended when she saw that Minaj had liked and then unliked a tweet criticizing Cardi’s mothering skills. In July, Cardi and her husband, rapper Offset of Migos, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Kulture Kiari.

Minaj has denied that she ever questioned Cardi’s mothering skills. She has refused to file charges against Cardi.

Cardi reminded W that she cancelled her tour with Bruno Mars to spend more time with her new daughter.

“I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour,” she said. “I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass f—king mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment? So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”

All she cares about right now at this stage in her life is her infant daughter, she told W.

“I’m thinking about how my money’s going to last so this girl is 21 and put in college,” she said. “I’m thinking about investments. I’m thinking about five years from now and about the craziest s—t like, how am I going to discipline this girl?”

The Nicki Minaj was not the only recent skirmish Cardi’s had. The “Bodak Yellow” and “Best Life” rapper was charged Oct. 1 with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and assault stemming from an August strip club fight in New York.
