Fabolous indicted by grand jury for alleged attack on Emily B

The embattled rapper, caught on tape in an alleged attack on his childrens' mother and her family, could face jail time over the incident

Rapper Fabolous has been indicted by a New Jersey grand jury on four felony charges related to his alleged assault on reality show star Emily B, mother of his two children, TMZ is reporting.

The grand jury last week handed down the indictment that includes one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon — a pair of scissors, according to the celebrity news website.

Along with that development comes word that the couple has been spotted wearing matching rings, igniting rumors of a secret marriage, The Jasmine Brand reported. The couple has been together for years.

TMZ first posted video back in march of Fabolous, 40, born John David Jackson, wielding a pair of scissors as he shouts and Emily B and her father in the driveway of their home in Englewood, N.J. In that altercation, Fabolous threatened to kill Emily B, 37, born Emily Bustamante, and other members of her family, according to TMZ.

Emily B, former star of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop, has also claimed that Fabolous has punched her in the face repeatedly and knocked out her teeth back in March, about three weeks before the incident with the pair of scissors, TMZ reports.

Earlier, Fabolous’ lawyer described the videotaped incident as an argument and denied that the rapper had committed any crime. Each of the four charges can carry up to five years in prison.

In April, Fabolous was formally charged with the alleged punching incident with his longtime girlfriend after turning himself in.

The rapper allegedly punched Emily B seven times, damaging her front teeth so badly they had to be removed. He also texted her that he would hit her with a baseball bat.

At the time, the rapper’s lawyer, Alberto Ebanks, told Billboard, “I’ve known Fab close to 20 years and believe he is incapable of engaging in the alleged conduct.”
