March 2006: With nowhere else to go, Campbell was arrested for assaulting another housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, this time with a jewel-encrusted Swarovski crystal cell phone, which caused Scolavino to need four head stitches. August 2009: Campbell was seen dancing up against a glass wall at a St. Tropez club. This time it was not her short temper that made headlines. It was her very revealing short dress, which left very little up for imagination.(Photo by Anthony Harvey/PictureGroup)

March 2010: Campbell’s limousine driver filed a report with the New York City Police Department claiming that Campbell slapped and punched him prior to fleeing the driver and scene. Police however decided to drop the matter after the driver chose not to pursue criminal charges. One month later, during an interview with ABC’s Nightline, Campbell threw yet another trantrum. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is clearly no stranger to scandal. For more than a decade, the British stunner – who during her heyday was one of the most in-demand models of her generation and among black models – is now the poster child for bad model behavior, and no amount of beauty or fortune could help Campbell escape from being accused of assault several times over, arrested or even court-ordered to community service – albeit in five-inch heels.

This coming Monday she is expected to sit down with Oprah Winfrey to, among other things, discuss her reputation as a rage-a-holic. In this slideshow, theGrio takes a look back at Campbell’s worst public relations disasters accompanied by some glamorous shots of the top model.
