Don Cheadle suits up for ‘Iron Man’ sequel

VIDEO - Don Cheadle, who stars in the new 'Iron Man 2' says wearing his all metal costume "was a drag, like wearing a car"...

Actor Don Cheadle is starring in the new and highly anticipated Iron Man 2.

A lifelong fan of Marvel comics, Cheadle is set to replace fellow actor Terrence Howard as Lt. Colonel James “Rhodey’ Rhodes, who was thrilled to get a chance to wear the costume – that is – until he tried on the metal suit required for the role.

Cheadle’s costume, made entirely out of metal, which the actor admits made it uncomfortable at times and an even greater challenge when trying to serve his character.

“It was a drag, mine is just metal, like wearing a car” said Cheadle.

Although wearing the suit was as the actor described as a “necessary evil,” Cheadle says he enjoyed playing the role as much as his past roles.

“I was able to kind of step in and find my own way and find the character and not feel like I had to replicate something that had come before.”
