For all the Eve fans anticipating her triumphant return to TV, the wait is over. The rapper/actress will make a television comeback guest-starring on the NBC sitcom Whitney.

The comedy series stars Whitney Cummings and is based on her real life experiences and stand-up comedy routines.

According to the Senior Director of NBC Entertainment Publicity, Tracy St. Pierre, the episode starring Eve will air in late March.

“Grammy-winning and multi-platinum recording artist, Eve is set to guest star in an upcoming role on NBC’s Whitney. In this episode, Whitney has a confrontation with Eve’s character and comes to realization about her relationship with her boyfriend Alex (played by Chris D’Elia). It all leads to a pivotal moment in the series, St. Pierre said in an exclusive statement to theGrio.com.

Eve starred in the UPN series Eve for three seasons until it was cancelled in 2006. The “Let Me Blow Your Mind” rapper also recently guest starred on two episodes of Glee, as rival glee club coach Grace Hitchens.

Whitney airs on NBC Wednesday at 8/7c.

TheGrio and NBC are both owned by the same parent company, NBC Universal
