Before her untimely death, a biopic about Whitney Houston starring Californication actress Meagan Good was reportedly in the works.

According to E!, Good began having discussions with Houston months ago about collaborating on a big screen production.

“We were fairly in the beginning stages, we were supposed to meet today actually,” Good said in an interview before Houston’s death.

In the February issue of Vibe Vixen, also prior to Houston’s death, Good opened up about her dream role of playing the iconic singer.

I want to do Whitney Houston’s life story. I think that would be an incredible story to do. I talked to Whitney a little bit about it, and she’s open to it, so I want to see what happens with that. Hopefully, in the very, very near future. She has Sparkle coming out, and I’ve heard good things about it already. I heard she looks beautiful, she sounds beautiful, she looks healthy and she’s the Whitney that we know and love. And so I think that would be a great place for her story to end and really just be beginning, if they were to do her life story right now.

If the movie does get made, Good is determined not to attempt any of the singing the role would require herself.

“I don’t think we’ve ever had a singer in history that I remember that could sing like her. Plus, when people see someone’s life story they want to hear that person’s voice because they connect with it, in their spirit and their soul. So you would have to use her voice.”

Brandy Norwood, who co-starred alongside Houston in 1997 remake of Cinderella, revealed last month that she would also love to play the “I Will Always Love You” singer in a biopic.

“My dream role is to play Whitney Houston. Of course she would have to sing all the songs, but I would love to play Miss Whitney. I have her entire personality down pat,” Brandy said.

Chances are in years to come, we will see Houston’s life play out on the big screen. Who do you think could play Whitney Houston?

Here are 10 lovely ladies that we think could star as Whitney in a biopic about her life.
